Sadly, hanging out with all the girls was not the only thing we got to do yesterday. Womp womp. On the bright side, we hit up two colleges and we got to meet students and administrators. Before that though, there was tea. Number 2 of 15 for the day. Tea tea tea. You want tea? More tea? Tea? YES JUST BRING ME THE DAMN TEA. And some powder for my forehead.
Such proper ladies. After the tea, we started visiting classrooms. Our first stop was in a digital photography class. Our two minute stop turned into a full hour once our local professional photographer Janine got ahold of the mic.
Since many of the students are interested in reporting and newspaper photography, Miss Jennifer took over.
Those two probably answered about 200 questions. The students were so engaged and eager, it was really awesome to witness.
After visiting the classroom we headed over to their media center where a very popular local radio station is broadcast from. Vanessa and Yajira (both in marketing and media jobs) were pumped. Miss Vanessa even got an on-air interview in.
We moved from there to a fashion college for women. So fun. I was able to several of the teachers during our visit and we all got a good gripe fest in about faculty credentialing.
We then took a short break from some lunch and much needed refreshments.![]()

And we found this amazing typo.
Every one loves some tit-bits in the afternoon. Then it was on to this mayhem.
After the crazy ladies, we went to visit a convention center and ran into these pretty ladies.
Then it was on to a Rotary meeting. We had a bit of fit the night before because we are supposed to have time to clean up before the meetings (and we really really need it), but it wasn’t happening. It was embarrassing to go to all of these events with women who are beautifully dressed and present ourselves as professionals when we looked like we fell off a wagon. So, we were “assured” that we would have time to clean up and get ready.
Turns out they took us to a sketchy motel that was about 900 degrees. The men couldn’t understand why we couldn’t really clean up. Shower people, we need a shower. We tried to make the best out of our two minutes of “clean up” time.
Heyyyyyy sexy ladies. We were so tired, it was awful. I was barely able to stay awake during the meeting. Three hours later, we were getting a little grumpy.

heey heeey good looking…you look like you’re feeling much better! I love how you went to a college for fashion..god the irony is amazing. :) Lima Yankee
Well I did need to learn. I’m not sure anything will improve, but I tried.
You hear about the Indian (damn…”Native American”) who drank tea all day long? She drowned in her tea pee one night. I slay me. Safe travels…
lmao
I’m kind of new to your site but I stumbled in right when you left to India. I’ve had a ton of fun following you. I had a friend from Austin go on a rotary trip to Australia to learn about their health system.
Another busy day! They keep you hopping don’t they?
Hhaha, I love #languagefails. Tit-bits is classic.
that is a pretty fantastic typo
Email hating me today…so thought I’d let you know this way that your baby girl misses you, loves her new Aggie blanket, and we (Hedi, Bardot and I) curl up on the couch and look at your pictures from the day. Glad you are having a blast but hurry home safely!
B-Dough likes to watch Top Gear the British one. It’s on the BBC and Netflix. She also loooveeesss the Aggies. Gig em. Good job on converting her to the Aggie blanket.
I think I almost hear a faint Gig em in her bark now. To be fair I did go to Tech for a brief fun (way too fun) year but my husband’s three visits to Aggie land so outweigh that…
I will be sure to put Bardot’s show on for her. I have found that she likes Downton Abbey as well and covers her eyes when we watch Criminal Minds. She just goes to her sleep filled snoring happy place.
Glad you’re having fun Cely!!!!
GIG EM! I heard Bardot has a crush on Johnny Football. She barked it in her sleep.
She does love some Dowager Duchess!! Miss you friend. And get that Aggie stuff outta here!
Get that blanket off my baby you traitor!!’
Hi, long time British reader but I’ve never had anything even semi worthy to say before but as I was a bit confused by the typo I had to chime in.. We say titbits over here
as well (I would say ‘all the time’ but don’t tend to chat about small snacks that much!!)
Love your blog- it’s one of the first I open in my reader each time!
Over here, it’s tidbits :)
what if it was Titty-Bittys?
Glad to see that the trip is going well! These recaps are amazing – thank you for sharing this experience with us (with your usual wit and humor of course)!
We say tit bits in Australia too…. It’s the name of an old Brittish magazine ;)
